Gourmet Garlic & Scapes is a small niche hardneck garlic business founded in 2015. The owner, Lori Hughes tends to all the tilling, planting, and cleaning of the most beautiful and delicious
organically grown hardneck garlic and scapes.
The business has now added Golden Shallots, Ghost peppers and habaneros.
Our Dream
The dream started with several garlic varieties along with confiscating Dad's entire backyard garden. Over the last few years, the business has grown considerably to a new permanent home with land, in Frankfort, NY. I have 16 varieties.
Passion for Garlic
I enjoy educating anyone (who will listen) on the differences between hardneck and softneck garlic and the wide variety of heat and flavors. I developed an educational tool that helps new and old aficionados navigate the different varieties.
